When I was allowed to play with more than two fingers, the Holiday was a good choice. The kick drum was full and punchy and the side stick had a really nice in-your-face thwock. As far as sound, my favorite of the bunch was the Holiday D325, with a real Leslie and a rhythm box that swung pretty hard for a home organ. The Cotillion had amazing lights, as did the outrageously priced MX-1.
They were never as cheesy or expensive as Wersi. Yeah, they weren't much on style, but Lowrey always aimed for the theatre organ market-bells, whistles, blinking lights.
